Applications for the 2018-2019 season will be accepted beginning April 1, 2018. A limited number of audition appointments are available.
Tuition: $560 (50% deposit due July 1 • balance due September 1)
Scholarships: There are a few reduced-tuition scholarships available. Contact Annette Brower for information.
All scholarships are working scholarships and are awarded on a first come first serve basis. A scholarship recipient's parent/guardian is expected to serve for the entire season.
Audition: Students will be asked to sight read, play a solo of their choice, and a 2- or 3-octave scale. Auditions will be on Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Calvary Church of Santa Ana (1010 N. Tustin Ave., Santa Ana) and are by appointment only. Please call (714) 973-0906 or e-mail email@example.com
Attendance: Plan to arrive 15 minutes before the start of rehearsal. A student may be dismissed from the orchestra if any ONE of the following occurs:
- A student accumulates more than 2 absences within a rehearsal period
- A student misses a mandatory date
Concerts: There will be 3 formal performances. PCS will also perform at Disneyland and in a combined concert with the Pacific Symphony Santiago Strings. For information about the Pacific Symphony Santiago Strings go to www.pacificsymphony.org.
Concert Field Trip: TBA (8:00 p.m.) at the Segerstrom Concert Hall in Costa Mesa to watch Pacific Symphony. Tickets for orchestra members will be provided. You must tell Annette by September 30th if you plan to attend. A ticket will NOT be purchased for you if you do not call or sign up at rehearsal. Sign up by TBA if you want to be a chaperone. Chaperones will be chosen by lottery. Extra tickets are available for $20/each. All seats are in the Grand Tier.
